Sensum’s New Principal Structural Engineer: Simon McCarthy

Sensum is thrilled to announce the recent appointment of modular design expert and Principal Structural Engineer Simon McCarthy, who joined the growing Sensum pack this week!

Simon will lead the newly formed Sensum Engineering arm of the business, which will provide consulting & engineering advice and services to support the delivery of external projects.

Simon joins the team from his previous role at WGA (Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec) as well as 15 years as a Senior Structural Engineer at Aurecon, bringing a wealth of experience & industry networks from previous projects in the commercial, health, educational, residential and industrial sectors.

Simon is extremely well credentialed in the design of modular and pre-fabricated structures where the benefits of off-site fabrication can deliver time and cost savings in the construction phase. While most modular projects are designed according to a limited catalogue of proprietary arrangements, Simon has a variety of skills in consulting engineering to build structures that otherwise may not get off the ground.
